Joba revisited

Just last week we reported on the Matsushita “Joba machine,” which promises to give the rider a good workout in the comfort of her living room (for some reason, all of the photos I have been able to find on the product show women riding it).

At that time we also noted the design of the Joba made it look like it was designed to allow the user to enjoy sensations other than that of riding a horse. This observation was based partly on the design of the Joba itself, and partly because Japanese companies like Matsushita are known for producing seemingly innocent bathroom products (like washlets and electric toothbrushes) that Japanese women end up finding a way to use for self-gratification (makes you wonder what the guys are up to).

The promotional photos being used by Matsushita for the Joba seem to indicate that the company may very well be aware of the alternate uses to which its products are being applied.

It also makes me once again wonder if the company is not intentionally designing its products with erotic user innovation in mind.

I just tried 15 minutes on it! It really feels like I have ridden for an hour, on real horse back. I am buying it! I used to ride, so 15 minutes is not enough.
