Here’s a candidate for the “You know you’ve been in Japan to long when. . .” files.

Last night when scanning the headlines of the day for Japan news, I came across one that said:

Kobe settles sex scandal

I clicked on the link honestly expecting to find a report about hush money being paid to some victim of a groping police officer, teacher, or government official down in Kobe, Japan.

Much to my chagrin, however, the headline linked to a story about hush money being paid to a victim of groping Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant.

I think I need a vacation.
