Pizzas from hell

Squid ink pizza. . . Erk!We were working late at the office one night soon after I arrived in Japan, and someone suggested getting a pizza. Good idea, I thought. A couple of people went out to pick it up—no pizza delivery in my part of Japan in those days—and we were ready to eat 30 minutes later.

“I don’t understand why foreigners don’t like Japanese pizza,” one of my coworkers said, just before taking her first bite of the potato salad and corn pizza. “If it’s good food, it’s good food, right?”

You can decide for yourself at The Web’s First Japanese Pizza Page. Be sure to look at all three pages on the site, as the pies keep pushing the pizza envelope the further along you go. The link to Pizzas from the Dark Side is also worth checking out.

Oh hell, that is just wrong. Reminds me of the first time I was given a corn popcicle.
