Cell novels

Some critics claim that people are spending so much time surfing the net and chatting on their cell phones that they do not have enough time left for book reading. But not in Japan, apparently.

The big rage among cell phone users in Japan these days is reading full-length novels on tiny cell phone screens. Several cell phone websites provide a wide selection of full-length books, and even some works written particularly for the micro screen medium.

It probably helps that Japanese kanji packs more meaning into each individual character (translating Japanese to English can double or even triple the page count), but it sure sounds like a heck of a way to get your pleasure reading in.
