Nana
The name of the movie is Nana and the star is Mika Nakashima.
If you haven’t heard of this movie, you soon will. It’s going places.
The theme song from the film, Glamorous Sky, sung by Nakashima, went to top of the charts and has sold over 450,000 units, while another song from the movie, Endless Story also did well on the pop charts and sold over 300,000 units.
In addition, the 13th volume of the Nana manga has been released, and that’s what is at the center of the movie phenomenon: a long-running and widely popular manga series, with over 23 million copies in print and sold!
After a nice success in Japan, the film’s producers are showing the film in several important Asian markets, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Just the other day, a crowd of fans (mainly girls) took over the arrival lounge at the airport in Hong Kong and screamed their Chinese and Japanese greetings to Ms. Nakashima, who is on a promotional tour for the movie.
What is NANA about? What’s the plot?
