The textual warnings about the dangers of tobacco use required on cigarette packages in the U.S. and Japan come off sounding pretty darn tepid compared with the graphic warnings in Thailand.
But Thailand isn’t the only country that requires graphic warning.
Man. . . If that’s not enough to get you to quit smoking, nothing is!

Only governments that provide free healthcare for all citizens have the right to enforce any sort of smoking bans. Since I live in a highly advanced healthcare-free society, I’m going to enjoy screwing up my helth as much as I want, thank-you.
November 18th, 2005 at 4:56 pmProprietors have the right to ban smoking in their bars or restaurants, but it should be up to them, not the government. Nobody is forced to go to a bar where smoking is or isn’t allowed. If the owner wants to have separate smoking/nonsmoking sections, I don’t see why any government should be involved.
