Christmas in Kumamoto

Though Christmas is not really a Japanese holiday, it is still celebrated with gusto over here.

In Kumamoto, there are a couple of companies who deck their buildings out in quite an array of illuminations every Christmas.

Though there were jumping dolphins, and Cinderella’s carriage, I have to say that my favourite detail was the fact that they didn’t leave the bike shed out of the excitement.

I love these photos and really love seeing how the “holidays” are portrayed in Japan — beautiful and creative. Thanks for contributing!

Christmas in Tokyo is way better than Christmas in the USA, that’s why I go back to Tokyo every year for it.

WOW! Those are some great photos! It’s really cool too since Kumamoto is where my girlfriend is from ^_^

I saw a sign the other day in Tokyo for a store advertising some Christmas wares, and the sign said, I kid you not:
“X’max!”

Nice twise on Xmas.

I too prefer Xmas in Japan to any other place on Earth. Jesus is not the reason for the season, that’s why I like it here.
