Active Reactor watch

Here’s a cool new watch from Japan that tells time using non-traditional indicators that make it look like you are wearing some sort of radiation exposure meter.

Active Reactor

The Active Reactor watch is water resistant and made of solid stainless steel.

You can buy it at Tokyo Flash for 11,900 yen.

Love it! Their website is down for repairs now, but HOW does one read the time with that face? Can you explain what time it is on that photo?

JP Said:

Danny, I just clicked over and got their site without any problem. If you go there, you can see an explanation of how to tell time.

The following is also from Tokyo Flash.

Danny Said:

Amazing. Just when you think a watch is a watch is a watch and can never really be reinvented, along comes this. Priceless! I want one!

Danny Said:

So what TIME IS IT on that particular watch? I still can’t figure it out….

JP Said:

Warning (+6) is lit for 6 hours.
Five Danger segments are lit for 5 hours.
The two Radio Active indicators are 40 minutes (10 + 30).
And three Active reactor lights make 3 minutes.

So. . . . 11:43?

Danny Said:

I might need a watch-reader/interpreter everytime I look at it, but what a great reinvention of time. Which is but an illusion anyway….

Tom Said:

So how do you tell if its am or pm =O
