Rich, creamy flavor. . . And look at that shine!

Found the following news item about cake maker Sara Lee:

Sara Lee Corporation said it will move most production of its Kiwi shoe polish from France to Indonesia to cope with rising labor cost.

Other than Indonesia, relocation will also made to Sara Lee operations in China and India, where labor costs are cheaper, said Sara Lee Indonesia president, Amitava Chattejee.

I wonder what they put in their chocolate cakes. . .

In China, they put formaldehyde in the cakes, and in India, not sure….

I bought my wife an ice cream in China one hot summer day. After a couple bites, she said it tasted awful and we disposed of it in the Chinese manner (left it in the street). As we walked back an hour later, the ice cream was still in the hot sun, unmelted.

We can only hope it was shoe polish.

Sara Lee owns Kiwi? I would’ve never guessed…I wish I didn’t know though. I hope the shoe polish and cake divisions are seperate. :P
