There are some JAPUNDIT readers who may feel that we what we post about here is nothing but a bunch of rubbish. Well. . . Today they may be right.

Police in Aichi Prefecture (which seems to be vying for the title of The Zaniest Prefecture in Japan recently) have arrested an elderly woman with a “garbage bag fetish” for dumping trash in a man’s garden.

The 70-year-old woman, whose name has been withheld, has reportedly admitted to the allegations against her, saying she had a wild urge to collect the garbage bags.

“I had an irresistible urge to collect rubbish bags, and I took other people’s garbage from collection spots, then threw out the contents and took the rubbish bags home,” she was quoted as telling police.

Police say that she dumped garbage into the man’s garden some 30 times since February of this year. The woman admits that she has no idea of what drove her to covet garbage bags.
