Kitty Kam

Normally when I hear “Hello Kitty” I think “toy,” but here is a pretty powerful digital camera done up in the Hello Kitty motif. It packs 5 megapixels of resolution, 12-frame-per-second movie recording, and a big 2-inch LCD screen.

With consumer cameras now into double-digit megapixels, there may be those who think that a mere five megapixels do, in fact, put this camera in the toy category. But do more megapixels make a better camera?
No, answers Mark Elgen of The Raw Feed, who argues that most amateurs don’t gain anything more once resolution gets past about four to six megapixels.
Anyway. . . You can pick up a Hello Kitty digital for only 13,000 yen.
Oh yeah? Obviously your mind hasn’t been tainted by the Hello Kitty vibrator then.
