Detect Earthquakes and Be Ready for Anything

koban sp-220e earthquake emergency detecting

For 6,648¥ ($56) the Koban SP-220E plays music, detects earthquakes, and serves as a versatile survival appliance with LED flashlight, AM/FM radio, multiple phone chargers (Japan specific), and panic siren. It’s waterproof and also has a hand-crank in case you forget to charge it. Just the thing to have around in any earthquake-related emergency. The “Super Multifunctional Earthquake Detecting Device” is supposed to detect a “seismic intensity of four” but, really, at even less than that you can still feel it for yourself. And if it happens to be “the big one” then probably you won’t need a gadget to tell you so. Still, if buried in rubble you can just turn on the handy panic siren, charge your phone, and listen to the radio until help arrives.
