Actually I didn’t think this was perverted at all. I thought this was really well edited. The music was not my cup of tea but hey whatever.. It was cool to look at I guess..
January 26th, 2007 at 9:16 amI found it rather ordinary as well, though I would take the train more often if they were more like this. I guess the interpretation depends on your, er…creativity.
January 26th, 2007 at 11:09 amNow we know what’s going on in all those women-only carriages.
January 26th, 2007 at 11:37 amWhat’s perverted about fansubbing a Morning Musume video?

January 26th, 2007 at 11:57 amOH was that who this was? This is Morning Musume? Ohhhh good grief I dont see what the fuss is about. I hear and see pictures everywhere but this is the first music video I think I’ve seen of them.
I must say, those women only carriages look a hell of a lot more fun then the ones I’ve been using. Damn it! So it IS true. Girls really DO wanna have fun!
January 26th, 2007 at 12:15 pmThey look like elves.
January 26th, 2007 at 1:18 pmAlex. . . You’ve been riding the women-only carriages?
I hope you don’t have a camera in your shoe.
January 26th, 2007 at 1:33 pmOh yeah, it’s not pandering to any particular fantasies among their core market (ie. men over 20) at all…
January 26th, 2007 at 6:58 pmJP, thou hast slain me!
January 26th, 2007 at 11:13 pmOk I watched this video again. Its really more of a marketing promotion then it is a music video. Its really a “Get to know each girl in the band” type of promotional piece.
with everything else thats out there, I cant see this making a splash at all in terms of perverts market. Meh…
(Riding a girls only carriages? Hm, Well I suppose as long as it is strictly for research purposes..
January 26th, 2007 at 11:45 pmOK, perhaps my standards of what I consider to be cheap tat aimed at guys rather than women are low.
January 26th, 2007 at 11:49 pmAhahahahahaa!!! I LUUUUV THIS!!
NEED - MOAR - MORNING MUSUME…
January 27th, 2007 at 2:17 amThe whole point of idol groups is to sell an appealing image, or, in a large group like Morning Musume, a lot of different appealing images. Is it perverse when an American boy band includes The Rebel, The Playboy, The Sensitive Guy, and The Athlete?
Now, had you picked Biyuuden’s new video Icecream and My Pudding, where the girls dress up as Playboy Bunnies and Marilyn Monroe, you might be on firmer ground…
Personally, I think videos like Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari humanize rather than objectify the performers.

January 27th, 2007 at 3:12 amThe song is quite catchy too. I’m soo glad none of them got eaten by that big lizard!
January 27th, 2007 at 5:05 amI don’t get it Are they supposed to be wearing veils?
“Girl who Conceals Regional Accent” might be an unusual Japanese fetish, but it still doesn’t hold a candle to the madness that is Eel Girl.
