Shinto priests proceed to one of the altars for new year’s prayer under snow fall at the Kamigamo shrine in Kyoto. Its almost February and they’re still praying for the new year? Yikes, are we in that much trouble?
If, as your comment suggests, this is recent photo, they’re probably marking the lunar new year (as the Chinese do).
