So when do we get to play Baseball?

How can you tell sumer is getting closer? Because Ichiro’s picture is EVERYWHERE! Not really complaining… But hell, you just know this summer Japanese Television is going to be loaded with baseball stars plugging everything from vitamins health to beer!
I remember seeing baseball for the first time ever when I went to Japan (on TV).
It is maybe just slightly more interesting than Bowls, but behind ice-curling.

February 26th, 2007 at 12:47 am“Koshien”? You mean upper school baseball?
February 26th, 2007 at 4:03 amIndeed. (Though I’ve never personally heard of the term “upper school” but no big deal….) From my admittedly limited exposure to professional baseball in Japan, games can be quite dull and highly kyojin-centric. It’s nice to watch those high school teams play like they mean it. Of course, I could be a bit biased - the first time I followed Koshien was the year in which Matsuzaka first established his legendary status in the final three games of the tournament.
