Jesus. The dolls look like 10-year-olds with C-cups. Honestly… sex dolls in theory? Fine. OK. Great. This dolls? Seriously creepy.
May 27th, 2007 at 8:19 amTo each his own, but lets face it… Its another reason for people to turn inwards and not practice a healthy social life/sex life. This must have been included in their numbers as the top innovative country in the world, right next to the salaryman lap pillow, haha. I bet these products are good money here though.
May 27th, 2007 at 9:42 amJust a creepy photo. Really creepy. Plastic, meet paedophile.
omni anima melencolia post coitus said Virgil, and , man alive, who wouldn’t feel it after doing a child-sized, child fashioned, bit of plastic.
The world is sad sometimes. Someone post a picture of a Japanese Puppy, please.

May 27th, 2007 at 4:33 pmDisturbing…..very disturbing…..:shock::sad::roll:
May 28th, 2007 at 12:36 amOkay, so honestly they are pretty impressively done.
But as Betty said, 10 year olds? I mean it’s definetly better for someone, for lack of a better word, to ‘play’ with one of these dolls rather then rape or pay for the real deal…..but still

May 28th, 2007 at 4:05 pmGod, the more I look at this the more it creeps me out.
May 28th, 2007 at 4:32 pmI assume some of the people who buy these dolls are hardcore figure Geeks(Otaku). They love beautiful dolls more than real girls. They don’t buy the dolls for the purpose of having sex with the dolls. (In the world of fine art, some artists are producing artistic ones.) The obsession for the life-size dolls is hard to understand for me. It’s creepy enough. But if you visit Akihabara in Tokyo, you can see life-size girls (not sex) dolls are displayed in some figure shops.
For your understanding, here is the Link about figures(not dolls) maniacs.

And some Non-Otaku people who buy the dolls, are those who are enabled to practice normal sex life for some good reasons(I hope). Those people are initially supposed to be main customers for the orient industry. And the rest are perverse people who are just helpless.
May 29th, 2007 at 10:00 amAren’t these dolls called “Dutch wives” in Japan? I wonder how the women of Holland feel about that slang phrase?
May 29th, 2007 at 2:16 pmDanny, I think the phrase is targeted at Dutch men, along with the expressions “Dutch courage” and “Dutch treat.” If you wonder what the Dutch did to the English to earn these, read Nathaniel’s Nutmeg, about the spice wars in Indonesia a few centuries back. The Dutch were rather nasty colonizers.
May 29th, 2007 at 3:57 pmThis ‘Samlgirl’ under the Personals banner is scarey. “I am a tiny girl. Just like a child”? And that photo? That’s very disturbing. More disturbing than these dolls because, well, she’s alive… . Now *why* would you want to put such a creepy thing on a personals banner?
July 17th, 2007 at 12:38 amGlad you thought so too, Betty. So wrong. So very wrong.
July 17th, 2007 at 7:26 amThe content of the banner in question is not controlled by us at JAPUNDIT. I have written the people who do control the banner content and have asked them to exercise better judgment in the future.
July 17th, 2007 at 11:04 amI dunno… maybe it’s a cultural thing. Or an age thing. The photo kinda reminds me of the discussion here a while ago about teenage girls who have no true idea what their ’sexy’ looks elicit in boys, men and other women.
She is *seriously* only going to get creeps or fetishists contacting her and, who knows, that may be what she wants ’cause it’ll get her a sugar daddy or power or attention or money. Which, considering her age, is seriously sad.
July 17th, 2007 at 12:04 pmBetty, I think your observation was correct and I appreciate your bringing it to my attention. To tell you the truth, I never even noticed the photo or text until you said something about it.
I got a reply from the folks who provide the service, and they told me the have removed the photo from the pool that is used for automatic updates of the banner. Right now it is still up there, but it will disappear the next time their computer does a refresh.
Thanks again.
July 17th, 2007 at 12:15 pmWell, I’ve seen sillier poses, as regards the photo. It’s just in combination with the text…
July 17th, 2007 at 12:34 pmTheir writer really needs a slap.
Ack! “Now *why* would you want to put such a creepy thing on a personals banner?” - the ‘you’ is the imperial, non-metric all-inclusive non-designated ‘you’ not, you know, ‘you, JP’, you.
I’m not helping, am I… .
Sorry for the fuzziness response to my fuzzy statement. I will go to bed now.
July 17th, 2007 at 2:33 pmMy sister-in-law saw that picture, and commented “She doesn’t look like she wants a penpal. She wants a dummie ( US “pacifier” ) or something.”
I think the girl who wrote it, didn’t really understand how we would read it, do you think so?.
July 17th, 2007 at 9:56 pmAre they real then? I’d assumed they were all written by someone at the ad company…
July 18th, 2007 at 7:15 am[...] love dolls are not new to the pages of JAPUNDIT (see here, here, here, and here), but the Honey Dolls add a new touch of realism to the love doll [...]
