A good place in Tokyo for old-map reproductions is the new Maruzen bookstore at the Oazu complex across from the Marunouchi South exit of Tokyo Station. On the second floor, at the foot of the down escalator, there’s an area used for special sales, and repros of old maps are available there for about one week every month. Some very neat stuff, similar to this find by Alex.
That’s a lovely map, but 900 Euros is a little out of my price range. Well, out of Mrs. Ghoti’s anyway.
There are some great deals on old post cards to be had in Japan, enough to make a living for a real Ebayer.
Hey is that the Tokyo Tower in the back?
How old is this map btw? Looks like a Pterodactyl doing a fly-bye there
riki: It says it’s from 1671
