The ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2008 took place on 29 February and 1 March in Sofia, Bulgaria with the Ladies.
Mirai Nagasu led an American sweep of the Ladies Short Program. Caroline Zhang and Rachael Flatt finished second and third. All three earned a new personal best score.
But Nagasu finished third after Long Program as she failed in 3 - 3 combination Jump (turned into single a 3 jump), 3 Lutz (stepped out) and layback spin (broke down). Rachael Flatt skated almost perfect in LP and clinched the Jr. Worlds title. Caroline Zhang was the second.

Anyway, being Rachael Flatt as Jr. World Champion 08, Mirai Nagasu as US Champion 08 and Caroline Zhang as Jr. World Champion 07, it shows that American young ladies generation is very strong.
