No, really - if you want to buy frozen pasty to make pies and so forth in Japan, is it expensive/impossible to get?

well gentlemen, science has finally done it, we are all now superfluous accessories for the rich women of the world, or just a cheap alternative for artificially created sperm for those too poor to afford it. I guess the more things change the more they stay the same.

Wow. Over a thousand bucks for a good copy? Crazy.
I’m assuming that this is the English version since it has Birnbaum listed along with Murakami:

Just found the following in my mail this morning. . .

Hello, I was wondering if you might be interested in selling japundit.com. If you are, please email me back and we can discuss it further.

- James

That is the entire text of the mail, and it was sent from a gmail account.

Is it just me, or does this not just scream out Nigeria! Nigeria!

remora Said:

There are entire networks devoted to teaching people how to get rich by flipping websites.

They will probably buy your website, monetize it to the point it’s no longer recognizable, and then make a pile of cash before the traffic dies out.

Slash and burn.

Edward Chmura Said:

Sounds like Gordon Gekko goes blogging. I wonder what they are willing to pay. . . Just joking. . .JAPUNDIT is like flesh and blood. . . No way I could sell her off to the blog butchers.

Rune Said:

It’s now the year of the rat according to the lunar calendar. But I remember Edward welcoming us to the year of the rat in the first japantalk podcast of the year. So my question is, do the japanese follow the lunar calendar with regards to the zodiac year or do they bunch that up with the gregorian calendar?

Edward Chmura Said:

Yes, Rune. It’s a kind of modified lunar calendar in Japan, following the animal sequence but starting on January 1 each year.

Rune Said:

Thank you for the answer Edward, another fun fact I can bore my friends with =)
