Don’t know the answer, but the first one was funny. Maybe some cultures are more masculine and some are more feminine.

I heard a story about boys-girls relations at French language school (Maison Franco-Japonaise), that most French men have girl friends, but most French women don’t have boy friends and feel frustrated.

That is, French men in Japan want to have Japanese girl friends and can find good ones. But French women in Japan can’t easily find French boy friends(because most French men have already Japanese girl friends) nor Japanese boy friends(because they can’t find good ones).

The reason why French women can’t find good Japanese boy friends is language barrier and cultural differences. ( I am not sure whether they find masculine men more attractive.)

Well, I’m French, I’ve been to some French Language schools in Japan and, to me, the fact that 95% of the students are female explains why french girls can’t find j-guys.

It’s very rare to find a j-guy who can understand French.
Plus, unlike girls, guys haven’t the same passion for foreign languages.

That first video was absolutely hilarious. I remember reading somewhere that when seeking partners, people tend to prefer looks that are different(exotic) from their own culture. This apparently was a hard wired evolutionary trait that made humans genetically more stronger. At least thats what I recall, could be wrong though.
