Well, that was cute. I understand that the octopus is the brainest of all the encephalopods and has no natural enemies except for the Japanese. So I would daresay that Mr. Tentacles has more to fear from Okusan than she does from him, especially at bangohan no toki.
Octopus us eaten just about everywhere they are, not just in Japan.
