Here is the Open Thread for this week.
Readers are invited to discuss things that have been on their minds, regardless of whether they are on topic.
If you are dying to say something that normally would be deleted under comment rules, here is your chance. Rules are very loose for open thread posts, and usual restrictions concerning topic matter do not apply.
Feel free to sound off about anything you want.

I heard on podcast 110 that you’re planning on opening up the blog to more contributers. Competition is always good. I’ll keep a lookout for some new voices.
Not sure it’s a question of competition, Eric. Quite the opposite, in fact - teamwork. At least, that’s how I see it.
You could call it teamwork. In any case, with more people writing, there will be more competition for “space” and readers’ attention.
Why hasn’t anyone at Japundit made a post about the ten-foot-tall hentai sculpture “My Lonesome Cowboy” selling for fifteen million dollars at Sotheby’s?

I see that Alex Kane has actually written a piece on “My Lonesome Cowboy” which is “queued up” for publication on Japundit tomorrow morning at 8am.
Ask and it shall be published unto you. . . (I just moved it up in the queue. It was bad scheduling on my part.)
“in fact - teamwork. At least, that’s how I see it.”
my view, is that Japundit is an ensemble production or collaborative effort (if you like), a bit like an orchestra where everybody has an instrument to play and the contributors are the soloists, with Edward leaning on the conductors podium swinging a golf club around trying to keep the whole thing together…
me? I’m just a roadie who occasionally plays timpani and chimes in from time to time..I play a mean triangle too!
