I’m an ex-smoker, and the minute I passed by a Japanese cigarette vending machine for the first time I broke down and bought a pack. I’m weak-willed, I guess. I’m back in the US now and have taken up running instead, and hope the next time I’m in Japan I don’t make the wrong choice again.
The lure of trying flavor balls might just do it, too. Although I’ve never been fond of Menthol.
If it makes you feel any better, Dick, the same thing happened to me years ago. I quit in the states but bought a pack the first time I encountered a machine in Japan. I eventually quit for good, though.
